The Sierra Nevada National Park is the southernmost ski area in Europe. Therefore you can ski here in the morning and swim in the Mediterranean in the evening. It takes no more than an hour from the ski slope to the beach. The ski season usually starts in early December and ends in early May. The size of the ski area cannot be compared to the Alps. But there are 131 ski slopes with a length of almost 110 km. The levels of difficulty vary from easy to difficult, so there is something for everyone. The longest run is about 6km long. Sunshine is almost guaranteed due to the proximity to the Costa del Sol. The center is the place "Pradollano". It is located at an altitude of about 2100m. There are rental stations for ski equipment, ski schools (also in English), hotels, restaurants and the après-party. Over 20 ski lifts ensure great skiing pleasure and take guests up to 3305m. On a clear day you can see Africa and the entire ski area is family-friendly.
